Well, although I am happy with the knowledge
acquired in the career and the experiences shared with both teachers and
colleagues, I think that in more than one aspect the ICEI leaves much to be
desired:
The curriculum is an example, for those who
entered 4 years ago, this one no longer responding to the demands and skills of
the market. Different luck has run the three inferior generations to ours since
they could live the contents change just in time, being able to have access to
more multimedia knowledge.
The facilities of the institute: I think that
they are good, although there are not many editing rooms, or a large radio
department, it has everything necessary for the teaching of journalism. One of
the main problems we have had as students throughout our career is related to
the above, and is regarding with recording and photography equipment.
Unfortunately, we are too many students between
the two careers, for the small amount of audiovisual equipment that we have. We
have everything necessary, but the amount is insufficient. In addition, the
teachers do not plan the use of the equipment as a whole, so the same delivery
dates coincide, and the equipment are over quickly. Better planning or
investing in more equipment is the solution.
I'm with you in the changes that you want, specially in the audiovisual equipment matters: we need more cameras!
